The interstitial optical liquid sensor is used primarily to monitor the interstitial area of double-walled tanks. This sensor incorporates a long-life optical prism and can also be used in sumps, dispenser pans and other locations where the presence of a liquid could indicate that a leak has occurred. The sensor does NOT differentiate water and hydrocarbon liquid. In the event of a break in the cable, the
system will activate the alarm.

The liquid sensor (ULS) is a low cost sensor which may be used with all EVO™ Series fuel management systems. This sensor is also compatible with S940 Sensor Alarm Console. Based on float-switch technology and made of chemically-resistant materials, the ULS may be installed in sumps, dispenser pans, steel double wall tanks or other locations where the presence of liquid indicates a leak has occurred.The FMP-ULS is a standard sensor that is used to detect the presence of a liquid in the normally dry Class 1, Division 1, Group D Hazardous Areas: sumps, dispenser-pans, and interstitial areas of double-wall, steel storage tanks. The sensor is supplied with electrical connectors, 25 feet of cable, and a cord-grip fitting. The FMP-ULS uses magnetic-float/reed-switch technology. (The sensor must be suspended vertically, so the float can rise freely with the level of a liquid.)
